Project Description

Hydrotherapy treatment is available at Mingara, Ettalong and Umina.

T

he hydrotherapy pool is the ideal environment for rehabilitation. Your natural bouyancy takes weight off injured or inflamed joints and provides an infinitely variable source of resistance – that means when you are not so strong or your tissues need protection, you can provide gentle loading, but as you get stronger and your tissues repair, you can push harder against the water and it will give you a greater challenge.

Hydrotherapy after joint replacement surgery is a great way to ease yourself back into activity. So hydrotherapy following Total Knee Replacement (TKR) or hydrotherapy following Total Hip Replacement (THR), or hydrotherapy after shoulder surgery or back surgery (hydrotherapy after laminectomy or discectomy) – is a great option that we can guide you through.

6S PHYSIO has direct access to the Hydrotherapy at Mingara Aquatics, and we can attend the Peninsula Leisure Centre Hydrotherapy pool – these pools are warm and have ramps for easy access.
